Description

The Role:

The Best Connection Group Limited is looking to appoint a Digital Services Consultant to join our Digital Strategy team. The Digital Services Consultant is responsible for designing, creating, and supporting a variety of Office 365 documents and processes with the focus working on advanced Excel spreadsheets.

The Digital Services team acts as a support function for other business departments and is responsible for finding, developing, and supporting efficient solutions utilising the Microsoft 365 suite of applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the ticketing system, triaging and prioritising requests according to department policies.
  • Consult with stakeholders to understand their needs and offer the most appropriate solutions.
  • Design and build efficient solutions using:
    • Microsoft Excel – Using both complex formulae and VBA programming.
    • Power Automate, PowerApps & PowerBI - training can be provided
    • SharePoint and OneDrive
  • Testing and quality assurance of solutions

The Package:

  • Annual salary of £29,000 to £33,000 depending on experience
  • Initially you will be entitled to 30 days paid holiday per annum, rising to 33 days after a year’s employment inclusive of statutory holidays.

The Person:

The ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys working with Microsoft Excel and has some experience writing macros. The Digital Services team are keen to use other products within 365 such as PowerApps & PowerAutomate, training can be provided for the right candidate.

Essential Criteria:

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience working with VBA to create Macros
  • High Level of attention to detail
  • Logical approach and problem solver
  • High level of written and verbal communication

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience using the Power Platform to automate business processes.
  • Advanced VBA programming skills
  • Knowledge of modern Excel (Dynamic formulae such as FILTER, SORT & LET)
  • Experience handling data using Power Query
  • Experience in Office 365 solution design

Hours of Work:

Your working week will consist of 37.5 hours Monday - Friday with 1 hour’s lunch break each day.  The role will be office based at out Head Office in Bromsgrove with some opportunities for flexible working.
