Description

The Best Connection Group Limited is looking to appoint a Service Desk Technician to join our existing IT team based in Bromsgrove reporting to our Service Delivery Manager.

The Service Desk Technician is the first point of contact for anyone within our market leading recruitment business to raise a service request. You will then log and assess all requests quickly and efficiently always remaining calm and courteous.

The Role:

  • Performing remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
  • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
  • Occasional Site visits where remote resolution is not possible
  • Supporting Provisioning and Installation of new or replacement hardware as required.

The Package:

  • Annual salary of approximately £22,750 to £26,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Initially you will be entitled to 30 days paid holiday per annum, rising to 33 days after a year’s employment inclusive of statutory holidays.

The Person:

For this role IT qualifications and experience of working in a busy IT role are preferred but not essential as our experienced team are able to provide a great deal of training and support.

Essential Criteria:

  • A keen interest in computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Customer-oriented and cool-tempered

Desirable Criteria: 

  • Tech-savvy with working knowledge of a range of technologies ideally including Windows, IOS, Android, Office365
  • Proven experience as a help desk technician or other customer support role
  • Qualifications in IT, Computer Science or relevant field
  • Valid UK Driving Licence

Hours of Work:

Your working week will consist of up to 37.5 hours Monday - Friday with 1 hour’s lunch break each day.
